Worshipping But Will not Believe

2 Timothy 3 : 5 - " In outward godliness , but denying the power thereof . "
There is someone I know once told his astonishment on the thinking of his church friends . Every time I tell God that I have experienced miracles , they responded with sarcasm. He laughed even say insane . " ah , you're making it up ... where there are like that? " his friends said . Okay if you are told it is difficult to accept the miracles of the mind , but a simple though difficult to digest them .
This is a picture that among believers was apparently still very many people who do not have enough faith to believe in the power and strength of the Lord . They assume that it is not possible directly experienced in real life , so what happened to people through their testimony did not change them for a better life . It is no wonder that we see people still believe that life is full of anxiety , worry or constantly afraid .
They measure possible to escape from a problem only of the size of the problems they face , and do not realize that God could do anything . If the problem might be small , but when it's too heavy then pray also must not bring any results . Their regular worship , they pray , but only a liturgy or habit.
No one thought that it should be done only for fear of going to hell , not because they want to establish a close relationship with the Lord, so it has a strong life amid the storms of life . Despite diligent to worship their own but they are difficult or even could not believe the power that can be present in it .
What an ironic thing . On the one hand people expect miracles happen in his life , but on the other hand their own doubt and deny its power . This attitude is actually not new . Habit of using limited human logic in understanding the power of the powerful unlimited Lord is not just a problem for believers today but it's been going on since time immemorial .
Paul describes this as one of the phenomena that will be increasingly prevalent towards the end of the world . " Outwardly godliness , but denying the power thereof . " 2 Timothy 3 : 5
This is one of the many serious things that Paul described as " perilous times " . 2 Timothy 3 : 1 - " Know that in the last days perilous times shall come . "
Perilous times , in our minds it means there are a lot of crises , disasters , war , pressure and so on . True , it is often the case these days . But what was said by Paul as perilous times was not just referring to the damage to the environment or even the economic crisis . Difficult times of opinion, Paul is at the time of the fall of man in the further selfish .
2 Timothy 3 : 2-4 - " People will be lovers of themselves and lovers of money . They will brag and boast , they will be slanderers , blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful , unholy , do not know love , irreconcilable , slanderers , could not restrain himself , fierce , not like that well , like traitors , not thinking, pretending to know , pleasure rather than lovers of GOD to obey . "
Note that such attitudes is not born of people do not believe but it was born of the people who are diligent to practice as mentioned in paragraph 5 above . Outwardly they worshiped , but they actually refused strength . They deny and reject it , they are still strangers to the power of it . This is also a warning for us to be physically present in the church , but only as a ritual or habit or tradition alone without experiencing any growth in faith through it all .
We are worshiping , but we own instead belies its power . We pray but we reject the power of praying . Worship is very important . Paul says : "Train yourself to worship " . 1 Timothy 4 : 7b . Why should be trained ? Because spiritual practice that can bring far greater benefits from physical exercise / physical .
" Physical training is of limited value, but godliness is profitable for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come . " 1 Timothy 4 : 8
Physical exercise is beneficial to health and our immune system . It is useful for our life in the world today , but there will be no further use for the life to come . Meanwhile, train yourself to worship will be useful both for this life and that will come later .
So obviously it is important to worship . But do not forget that we also have to know essentially we worship . Understand the purpose , usefulness , strength , so that we do not worship to be in vain , do not stop merely carries on the tradition , custom or procedure appropriate liturgy alone .
Worship is done correctly will be able to build our faith to grow bigger , deeper rooted in Christ , so that we are again stuck deny yourself the power behind the rituals that we do it . If to believe the experience of our course is hard , how can we experience it for yourself ?
Worship is done only at the outer point alone will not bring any benefit to us . We're going to keep getting away from the extraordinary experiences with Christ . We will not be able to feel His miracles , His inclusion and miraculous rescue , as well as a variety of power Lord declared that continues to this day in practice. We can see it , feel it , experience it for real .
We must move forward to understand the power of worship until someday could experience it directly , no longer just the people but we are already experiencing their own . All believers should come to such a level , and it would be very difficult if we own still belies its power .
Worship should not be limited to ceremonial filled with rote without understanding its essence .
Worship should not stop the manner , gestures , and speech the same position over and over again .
Worship should be directed to establish an intimate relationship with the Lord .
Worship is not a place where we just asked and continue to ask , complain and whine but more than that it should be used for fellowship with HIM , HIS presence felt , to hear His voice and know His will and plan the best on us , or hear warning HIS when we are doing something wrong .
God does not like people who just to practice as a mere routine or ritual . " And the Lord said : " Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouth and honor ME with their lips, but their heart far from Me, and its worship to Me simply human commands memorized ? Therefore , behold , I will proceed marvelous things with this people , wondrously marvelous ; wisdom of wise men will be lost , and the wisdom of the people are wise to hide . " Isaiah 29 : 13-14
Note that there will be a penalty even the Lord that falls to those who merely lip service to glorify God , merely rote , ceremonies , customs , while his heart was not radiate love at all to the Lord .
In contrast to those who earnestly seek the Lord in each worship they do , the Lord gave it this way: " The Lord bless thee and keep thee : for the LORD face to shine upon you and give you His grace ; God confronts His face upon you and give you peace . " Numbers 6 : 24-26
This will be given as a blessing to us if we put the name of the Lord above all else , including in our worship . Numbers 6 : 27 - " So shall they put my name upon the Israelites, and I will bless them . "
And see also Lord follows : "Worship the Lord with all your heart . " 1 Samuel 12 : 20b
Worship should be done with all your heart , with serious and earnest to have the correct destination . God does not like when we attach great importance ordinances and other matters beyond building a close relationship with HIM . God does not like when we just want to look great from the outside while the spiritual in our faith is not even clear shape .
Otherwise the Lord will be pleased when saw HIS HIS children are diligently praying and that feeling thirsty moments shady joint - HIS , longing to continue to meet and hear His messages , and of course that showed his faith by applying the word of the Lord is evident in everyday life .
We are not living to look great in front of the man , but it is important to live a life that is pleasing in the sight of the LORD . If we already serve but also still doubt or deny the power of God , it means that there is still a need to be improved in our worship .
Believe that God has power far beyond everything and able to overturn human logic . It was still perceptible to this day, is still going to happen , and even then we can experience directly in our own lives . Do not waste worship only concerned with the procedures and customs alone , AMIN .
